It's important to keep calm during an emergency situation. Contact our office as soon as possible so we can advise you on next steps and schedule an emergency visit.

Preserve the Tooth (if applicable)

If a permanent tooth is knocked out, hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with water, and try to place it back in the socket, or store it in milk or saliva.

Control Bleeding and Pain

Use a clean cloth to stop bleeding and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Children’s pain medication may be used as directed.

Stay Calm and Reassuring
